AWC Systems Technology began operations in 1983 with primary focus on developing a general line of high efficiency, user friendly firearm sound suppressors. By 1985 the company had introduced a dozen or more systems in a wide range of calibers. The firm had also established itself as the world leader in commercially available silencer technology.
By 1988 the company was well known domestically and internationally in the counter terrorist and special warfare community, and had begun successfully completing contracts for these users.
In 1989 the company relocated its headquarters from Houston, Texas to larger and more modern facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. At that time the company moved into research and development at warp speed. New concepts in silencer designs emerged at a blinding pace.
We have provided suppressed weapons systems to the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. We have supplied suppressed weapons systems to major law enforcement agencies, and such diverse groups as the U.S. Department of Interior, the Department of Energy, Federal and State correctional facilities, the R.C.M.P., and Special Forces units in Central America and the Middle East.
