The Stalker was developed in response to the recent surge in popularity of high performance rimfire and centerfire small bore weapons such as the .17 Mag, .17 HMR, .17 HMR Mach II, .22 Mag, .22 Hornet and .221 Fireball cartridges. It could be considered a miniaturized Thundertrap, and like the Thundertrap, the Stalker dismisses the report of the weapon.
